This collection covers some of the the most critical issues
faced by non-custodial fathers.
FatherTopics™ Collection for Non-Custodial Dads consists of five separate 2-hour sessions your organization can run for non-custodial fathers to help them succeed as involved fathers. Your organization can offer 1, 2, 3, or more sessions in any number and combination. Your organization can also add any number of combination of them to any National Fatherhood Initiative® (NFI) fatherhood programs or any other fatherhood program.
Program Length
12 core sessions + 1 optional introductory session
Program Delivery
- Run one or all five sessions with non-custodial fathers you serve
- Use whichever sessions you need in a group setting or one-on-one
- Add or substitute one or more sessions to the content of an existing fatherhood program
In 2011, NFI created a version of the 24:7 Dad® program for the New York DYCD specifically for non-custodial fathers. The program addressed their unique challenges and the topics specifc to non-custodial dads were later adapted into the FatherTopics™ Collection for Non-Custodial Dads, now used by organizations nationwide. Feedback from facilitators and participants has been highly positive.
